Google is positioning Gemini Live as a more fluid and capable alternative to traditional voice assistants, with future plans to integrate it with other apps and features, including real-time visual recognition using Project Astra. While it coexists with Google Assistant for now, the focus is on making Gemini the go-to personal assistant for users' everyday needs, though this dual-assistant approach may present some branding challenges for Google.

Microsoft plans to release its controversial Recall AI feature for Windows testers in October, after delaying it due to security concerns. Originally set to launch in June, Recall screenshots almost everything on a user’s PC, allowing them to search and retrieve past activities.

Security issues, such as the lack of database encryption, prompted Microsoft to revise the feature, making it opt-in, encrypting the database, and adding Windows Hello authentication. The October release will be for Windows Insiders, with a full launch potentially delayed until next year as testing continues.
