❇️Anthropic Launches Claude Opus 4.1
Claude Opus 4.1, an upgrade to Claude Opus 4 on agentic tasks, real-world coding, and reasoning. We plan to release substantially larger improvements to our models in the coming weeks.
Opus 4.1 is now available to paid Claude users and in Claude Code. It's also on our API, Amazon Bedrock, and Google Cloud's Vertex AI. Pricing is the same as Opus 4.
⚡Genie 3: A new frontier for world models
Genie 3 is a new, general-purpose world model from Google DeepMind that can create interactive, dynamic environments from a text prompt. The model generates worlds at 720p resolution and 24 frames per second, allowing users to navigate them in real time for a few minutes while maintaining consistency.
This new model builds upon Google DeepMind's decade of research in simulated environments and world models, which are AI systems that can simulate and predict how environments will evolve. Genie 3 improves upon previous versions, Genie 1 and Genie 2, by adding real-time interactivity and improving consistency and realism. Google DeepMind believes that world models like Genie 3 are a key step toward achieving AGI, as they enable the training of AI agents in a wide variety of simulation environments.
💫Google says its AI-based bug hunter found 20 security vulnerabilities
Google's AI, Big Sleep, has successfully found and reported its first 20 security vulnerabilities in open-source software like FFmpeg and ImageMagick. While a human expert was involved in the final reporting, the AI located and reproduced the bugs on its own. This development, which Google calls "a new frontier in automated vulnerability discovery," highlights the growing capabilities of AI-powered bug-hunting tools, despite some concerns about false bug reports.

ChatGPT is projected to reach 700 million weekly active users this week, a four-fold increase from last year. This growth is attributed to new features like the enhanced image generation tool and a rise in paying business subscribers, which now number 5 million.
